What We Teach
Language
What to say to patients during a genital exam, and how to word it, can be unexpectedly difficult!
Breast Exam
Students are taught how to visualize the breast tissue, palpate lymph nodes, and check the breast tissue & nipple
Pelvic Exam
The pelvic exam is taught in three parts:
An external exam, an internal/speculum exam, and the bi-manual exam
Penile & Testicular Exam
Students are taught visual and manual inspection techniques, hernia check, and how to address erections
DRE
Students learn how to manually palpate the prostate and what signs to assess
